So Cindy has her first placement as a foster parent.
She got called Monday morning saying they (CPS) had
a 5 year old little girl, and her 2 year old brother. I'm so
glad they didn't split them up, I've seen it happen before.
It has got to be the most painful situation to watch.
The first night, Cindy said the little girl walked in the house
and went straight to a corner and cried with sooo much
pain and hurt. Poor child, can you imagine being picked up
by someone you have never in your life seen before, travel almost
3 hours to get to Abilene, then get delivered to strangers
and a house they've never been in before? This hurts me
so much. I sat and cried till almost 2:00 am, just thinking
of the children and how they must miss their mom, and
wondering if they'll ever see her again. I prayed that they
both have a good nights' rest without crying.
Cindy called me the next morning, saying they had slept so
well and were just talking and smiling. Cindy made some
time to hold and caress them for awhile before taking
them to daycare and school. These innocent children need
so much love and affection, or simply just for someone
to pay attention to them every once in awhile.
They came with few cloths and I think only the shoes they
had on. But, I tell you what, Cindy and Traci have the
most wonderful and caring friends. They immediately
started looking for clothing, shoes, etc. I called my niece,
Bea, and she's got a lot for me to bring home. Apparently, she
mentioned the situation to her co-workers and they also
promised to bring in some clothes, toys, etc. by Friday.
Cindy was so happy over such good news and people
helping out so quick. She says, "now little Abrianna
doesn't have to be embarrassed about what she wears to
school. I asked Cindy about the length of Abriannas' hair.
She responded with a very confused answer, " I honestly
don't know what to tell you about her hair, she put the
scissors to her bangs and the sides of her hair! !!! We're
trying to do the best we can till Friday's hair appointment.
I'm thinking I'll be getting daily phone calls about stories
these little ones are going to get into. I'm proud of Mija.
She knows she will go through a lot of pain if these children
get placed for adoption and leave. She says she understands,
but if she can just give them a day, a week, or months of
love and affection, she'll be satisfied no matter how much
it hurts. Just as long as the kids are not out there starving
and being neglected. Very proud of her.

About Me
- Juan & Cecilia
- We were high school sweethearts and we still have that connection we had years ago. God has blessed us with two wonderful children who are now grown adults living their own lives; our eldest lives in Abilene and our youngest resides in Arlington. Our personalities...in a nutshell...I think can be described as easy-going . Juan loves to joke and I love to laugh...so...it just works. I really don't think we have to go into much detail about what we're like because inevitably that will show with each and every post. We love that you're here and you are welcome to stop by any time to read about our stories...some funny and some...not so much; but all definately, from the heart.

Hi Cecilia! I'm not sure if you remember me or not but I went to WTC with JG.
Anyway, I recently seen Cindy at Wal-Mart with her little foster son and I was so touched. If only there were more people like Cindy in this world. She truly is an inspiration!
