PRAYER!! Constant, don't let up not one second kinda prayer is what I need today.
I'm taking mother shopping for clothes!
Don't misunderstand me. I love my Mom dearly., but when it comes to taking her shopping, I almost have to start a round of Xanax 3 to 4 days earlier.
She has got to be the pickiest shopper I know.
Believe it or not, but we're just shopping for one outfit today. And that still freaks me out.
So, again I beg you. Pray for me!
If I don't publish another post, chances are I didn't make it through the day.

About Me
- Juan & Cecilia
- We were high school sweethearts and we still have that connection we had years ago. God has blessed us with two wonderful children who are now grown adults living their own lives; our eldest lives in Abilene and our youngest resides in Arlington. Our personalities...in a nutshell...I think can be described as easy-going . Juan loves to joke and I love to laugh...so...it just works. I really don't think we have to go into much detail about what we're like because inevitably that will show with each and every post. We love that you're here and you are welcome to stop by any time to read about our stories...some funny and some...not so much; but all definately, from the heart.
Blogs I read...
It was a good Father's Day for me again. Praise God I still had Dad for another year. Although I wasn't able to see him till late Sunday afternoon. I sorta made up for it, cause I visited with him until almost 10:30pm. I don't usually do that cause I know they both tire quickly, but we all seemed to be enjoying the conversation. He loves when we start asking him about family members and about his younger years. His face just lights up.
J.G. wasn't able to make it down. But, that's ok. If you get a chance, you might want to log on to his blog site. He wrote his Dad a very sincere note for him, which made Dad get teary eyed. Hey nothing wrong with that, we get older and it takes a lot of strength to hold back tears.
Cindy invited him to go over and she bar-b-qued for him. Boy, howdy, can that girl Q. ! ! She wanted him there by 1:00pm. If you don't know Cindy that well, when she sets a time, we know to make it there by then. We walked in about 1:30, ( Dad seems to always get side tracked at all the car lots, even though we actually aren't shopping for a car). She didn't say anything about us being late, I guess she held back what with it being Father's Day! !
We all enjoyed the great meal. Really enjoyed the three kiddos. They're so much fun. I had to play with all of them, Barbies, cops, water guns, etc.. I was very proud of myself, seems I haven't forgotten how to comb Barbie and dress her up! Dad played it smart. He went on to Academy, so he wasn't forced into playing for almost an hour or so.
I hadn't bought Dad a gift since we were going in to Abilene, so I asked Dad if he wouldn't go for me, ( he loves to SHOP!). I had set my mind on getting my Dad a pair of Crocs for his Father's Day gift. Dad asked if I had a limit on how much I wanted to spend on the Crocs, I said, " hell no, Daddy's getting old so I'm going all out this year. Make it $5, hey wait a minute! make it $6, I really feel like doing some really serious damage this year!) What the hell, we're not gonna have around for ever, right?

Dad and I went to Arlington this past weekend and I'm just now finding time to post our visit. I don't understand it. I never used to be like this. Something weird is happening. I told Dad when he came in from work this evening, that this morning after listening to daily mass on TV, I got up to put a load of laundry in the washer, when it suddenly hit me. I couldn't remember if I had already taken a shower or not ! Not Good Huh?
Dad and J.G. spent most of the day together, I love when they do that. I stayed and did absolutely nothing, which is exactly what I wanted. I read some of J.G.'s books, watched some TV, and actually put on makeup! I don't usually wear makeup when I'm down in Arlington, cause the humidity is so bad my makeup just runs down in minutes.
Later that evening we went out to eat. We met up with the Moore's and Edward. Edward had come down on Friday to visit his buddy, Anthony.
We had a good time visiting together and freezing our asses off at Cheddars, it was so damn cold in there! I'm not being rude, but the best part of the evening was watching two waiters run into to each other. (poor kids, they were really busy). The one coming down the stairs had a large tray full of plates, and here comes this other waiter at full speed and ran into him. I felt so embarrassed for him. He had mashed potatoes on the tip of his nose and eyebrows, some kind of white cream was covering his left cheek, and some of the cream was also on his nice spiked hair, of course the rest of the meal was all over his clothes. After the incident is when we all got tickled over it. Poor kid, he made my night.
Sunday morning the three of us made it to church, and afterwards went to visit with Anthony. He looks so good. Doesn't even look like he's gone through a transplant. It sure makes a difference when you're young and healthy. We had agreed to stay only 30 minutes or so cause we didn't want to tire him. Jr. and Anita look happy to see his son doing so well.
Oh, talk about Jr. and Anita. I could of and really wanted to choke them to death. They knew we were coming cause we called ahead of time. But, did either one of them bother to mention to me that there was an elevator up to the apartment (which is on the second floor)!!! NO Fat ass with just 5 weeks into a total knee replacement climbed about 10 stairs. Boy, was I ticked off. Jr. opens the door and looks at us and first thing he says, "you didn't just climb up those stairs did you?" Right then I could feel my shaky hands on his neck!
Him showing us where the elevator was when we were leaving didn't empress me at all. I had already been through torture. That's ok. One day I plan to get back at both of them.
